# UNSUPPORTED_CHAT_OPERATION

## What happened

The chat cannot do what you asked. Examples are a threaded reply in an SMS chat, or a group action on a group that is not an established iMessage group.

## How to fix it

Check the chat's capabilities with `GET /v1/chats/{chat_id}` and the feature guide for where the operation is supported.
